ATC Sunday isday when the Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC) celebrate the anniversary of the Air Training Corps' (ATC) formation. It's celebrated on the Sunday closest to February 5th, which is the anniversary of the Royal Warrant that created the ATC in 1941.

This year, Sunday 2nd February, saw 1084 Squadron attend the All Saints Church in Lubenham.

Our Squadron Chaplain (Revd Pip Clements) took the service and many of the cadets accompanied our Chaplain with readings and prayers.

What happens on ATC Sunday?

  • Parades: Cadets and adult volunteers parade together in local areas.
  • Church services: Cadets participate in church services.
  • Drill and training: Cadets participate in drill and team building exercises.
Why is ATC Sunday important?
  • ATC Sunday is a day to celebrate the founding of the ATC, which encouraged young people to consider careers in aviation.
  • It's also a day to support the Royal Air Force and other Armed Forces. #aircadets #whatwedo #highflyers
